HP ENVY Desktop - 795-0098nb
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, we are using this computer now since a month, and from te beginning there is a very anoying noise comming from the PSU in the computer --> coil whine. Problem is only when there is low processor activty.

I think this is not meant to be with a brand new computer? Can the PSU be replaced in waranty?

Thanks

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I recommend you update the BIOS and the chipset driver from the below link and check if it helps.

Yes, the power supply can be replaced under warranty.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Hi, I updated the drivers you mentioned but unfortunately it gave no solution.

If the power supply can be replaced under warranty, does someone comes to my home then to build it in or how does this work? It is not possible to send it up ore something like that because I can't miss the computer, not even for one day due my business.

best regards

Melanie
