Product: HP Pavilion HPE h8-1250a Desktop PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Im looking to upgrade my graphic card but can't find anything compatible. Also took system to computer shop and they tried a few cards but nothing will run in the system (wont even boot up with a different card)

Anybody know of any graphic cards that will run in my system?

Just bought a new monitor that runs a display port looking for a card with a display port and a bit more memory

Thank you for the excellent list into your computer specifications.  Now the sad news.:Crying:

 

Your unit is cira 2011, and has what is called Legacy BIOS.   It can not be upgraded to the newer UEFIvBIOS.  No cards released after Spet 2012 (UEFI based cards) will work in your machine.  The best Legacy card would be the GTX 660, and that does require a min 450W, so I like to suggest a Corsair CX600W PSU to provide the needed power, and have a better power curve.

PS<> the locale shop should have known !!

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..

Thanks for the help,

I'll have to have a search around for an GTX 660 to see if they are still available in Australia hopefully I can find a new card.

If I find one then I'll look for a power supply

Found it on ebay if compatible there all "Ti" or "OC" versions in Australia, can only find used ones
