Hi, i was planning to upgrade my cpu cooler of my hp pavilion gaming pc will noctua nh-u9s work

The CPU socket on your motherboard is LGA 1200: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-gaming-desktop-pc-tg01-1000i/32480786/model/3792083...

 

Here are the specifications for the NH-U9S: https://noctua.at/en/nh-u9s/specification

 

If you look at the Specifications Tab it lists the compatibility for the cooler.  The LGA 1200 is listed.  However, I suggest that you contact Noctua's Tech Support to make certain.  They are the experts on their products.
