Solved: DVD Power Media Player being cutoff by pop-up Ad - HP Support Community

DVD player has worked for weeks... now a pop-up Ad overrides the player from operating, suggesting that the current version of the installed Power Media Player is not supported and must be updated, but up to 40% off. The pop-up will not allow the media player to read the DVD. Is this a scam?

If the software no longer works because of a windows update, and you have to pay for a new version, delete it.
there are plenty of free ones.
May not be as user friendly as some, but vlc player works with windows 11 22h2 perfectly in my home
