Product Name: Envy Phoenix 860-140
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The plastic cover for my phoenix envy optical drive falls off and is hard to replace securely.  Any tips?

Re: DVD drive cover for envy phoenix falls off

Hi there @morfeh,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!  I understand that you are having an issue with what I assume is the face-plate on your CD?DVD drive.  I am happy to assist you with this.

You can use the Upgrading and Servicing Guide to remove the drive and inspect it. There may be a missing or broken clip. If that is the case then you have only a few options: secure the face-plate as best you can, being careful not to damage or impede the operation of the device, try to order a replacement cover if available, or replace the entire drive.  You can try using either the HP Parts Store or HP Partsurfer as possible sources for any available parts.

Please let me know whether that works for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.
