HP Recommended
Desktop 260-a020
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Slim Desktop 260-a020. its my dads his hard drive stopped working. I want him to buy an internal SSD, can I give him an internal SSD 2.5 inch? or nvm-e hard drive or does it have to be a 3.5 inch to fit easily in there??

Thjanks, I have not been over his house to open it up yet.  He needs to order the hard drive online and I strongly recommend him to not use a spinning drive!@

Hi:

The motherboard only has a slot for a M.2 wifi card.

You would not be able to install a M.2 SSD in that slot.

So yes, order a 2.5" SSD and you will also need a 3.5" to 2.5" adapter so you can mount the SSD where the drive is now.

They make so many different types of these adapters, so I think you should check out the inside of the PC and figure out what adapter would work best.

The WD Blue 2.5" SSD's provide the best performance for the price, IMHO.
