Is it possible to upgrade the internal network adapter to dual band on an HP23-q112 . I prefer that over an external adapter but am aware that is an option. I find it hard to believe HP would ship a modern desktop with single band wifi .

@cllark1 , welcome to the forum.
Here is a wifi adapter that should work for you. I would check with the manufacturer's Tech Support to assure that it is supported by Win 10, however.
S: I find it hard to believe HP would ship a modern desktop with single band wifi .
A: You have to remember that your computer was originally released in 2015. Few of the OEM manufacturers were adding dual band adapters; except in their top of the line models.
Please click the Thumbs up + button if I have helped you and click Accept as Solution if your problem is solved.

@cllark1, I can't tell from the description of your current adapter if there were one or two antennas; although there appears to be two connectors. If the current antennas work you should be fine.
