ENVY 34-a150 secondary hard drive upgrade

HP Recommended
ENVY 34-a150
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just completed a few updates to my 34-a150. 16GB of ram up from 12GB. A 500GB NVM-e primary SSD hard drive

and tried to put a 1TB Samsung 960 SSD secondary hard drive in but could not. Could not get bios to start up with this secondary drive installed. Once I removed the secondary drive everything worked flawless. I reinstalled the original 1TB HHD.

No issue. Once I had windows installed I plugged the Samsung 960 SSD into a USB with a SATA - UBS adapter, and it works well. So the HD is fine. Any help is appreciated.

Looks like the HD is bad out of the box.

I tried to load window on it using another PC and had very similar issues.

Envy 34-A150 all-in-on PC right? no product code so must guess.

HP ENVY Curved All-in-One - 34-a150?????????

X6C40AA#ABA  ??????????????

you forgot the key word M.2.

1TB Samsung 960 SSD secondary hard drive (the 960 is a M.2 drive google tells me) not SATA.2.5" drive at all.

see its Two M.2 drives wanted,  ?

is this M.2?  AND YOU WANT 2 WORKING m.2 DRIVES And the second mobo slot for M2. is  marked for Wlan or wifi card only?

that?  the manual and spec tells you what slots are.  m2 SSD,  and WLAN.

hp.com this PC

no service manual, no full spec, no board layouts marked for usage no book called adding options, I guess AIO= toaster.

expensive but no books, worth beans.

OK found it ,  took huge googling to find it, direct HP failed.

what this means is slot 1 is WLAN only most are wifi blue tooth card there and will not work with any M.2 SSD ever.

Sorry I meant 1TB Samsung 860 EVO as the secondary SATA hard drive. I'm not trying to install two M.2 drives

This PC is a T4A32AA#ABA = Model number to be exact.
