AIO Envy 23-d000el
Hello,
I own an old hp envy 23 (product no. C3S97EA#ABZ) and would like to do an upgrade that increases the ram to the maximum supported and possibly also improves the cpu.

Can you tell me how much ram supports at most and the frequency?

Is it possible to replace the CPU? Which is the most powerful processor that I could put in place of the one currently present?

Thank you.

(English isn't my first language, so please excuse any mistakes.)

@moltoredog,

Here is the link for the unit. It explains various CPU and RAM compatible specifications.

According to your model #, you have Processor - i3-3220,3.3GHz,55W

Best is the Intel Core i7-3xxxS (Ivy Bridge) Quad Core

As you did not state the OS (WIN 7 WIN 8 WIN 10   and  if  23bit or 64 bit))

  • Dual channel memory architecture
  • Two DDR3 SO-DIMMs (204-pin) sockets
    • PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333)
    • PC3-12800 (DDR3-1600)
  • Non-ECC memory only, unbuffered
  • Supports 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB and 8 GB (8 GB only available on systems using Ivy Bridge processors) DDR3 SO-DIMMs
  • Supports up to 16 GB on 64-bit PCs (16 GB only available on systems using Ivy Bridge processors)
  • Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit* PCs
*32-bit PCs cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory.
