"HP SSD EX900 M.2 250GB"
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to get a warranty claim for this EX900 is like pulling teeth from an alien. Impossible because there are no aliens on Earth.

"HP SSD EX900 M.2 250GB", bought in December 2019, has 3 year warranty. It died, laptop won't POST, tried another machine, same thing. Tried it in a USB --> M.2 adapter, either locks up computer completely or computer never finds it.

Trying to add it to my account it just says...

Really? Can't validate the serial number even though when entering the serial number it shows you the correct SSD?

Serial number doesn't work, so it then asks for serial number and part number. That also doesn't work.

Part number is 2YY43AA#ABC (I have tried with and without the '#ABC')

This might require one on one interaction to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.

    1. HP Support community
    2. Phone (ended up doing this option and got a case number)
    3. Virtual Agent (Completely useless, why no real person chat?)
    4. HP Service Center Location (Useless for SSD)
  6. Case Number : [Personal Information Removed] (Can't call because I have no service at home)
