Elitedesk 705 G5 - when I install M.2 NVMe in second slot cannot put drive cage back

Bought a renewed Elitedesk 705 G5 mini PC. Came with a 256 Gb M.2 2280 NVMe drive which works fine. Decided to set it up as follows: (1) a 2.5 SSD as boot drive and (2) a 4 Tb M.2 2280 NVMe for internal storage.

Spent the morning installing Windows 10 and applications on the SSD. Everything was working great. Opened up the unit, took out the drive cage, took out the 256 Gb M.2. When I did so M.2 that was in the first slot pulled out one of the antenna leads (one corner of the M.2 gets in the way) so decided to install the 4 Tb M.2 in the second slot. Tried putting the drive cage back and it would not slide back into place. Felt like something in the way. Took out the drive cage. Also took out the M.2 in the second slot. Tried putting the drive cage back and this time had no problem. 

It appears that if one installs an M.2 in the second slot you cannot also have the drive cage in place. Well that stinks. It's one of the reasons I spent a little extra to get the G5 and not the G4.

At least one other person has encountered this problem. Appears to be a design flaw. What is the point of a second M.2 slot if when you use it you cannot put the drive cage back in place??? Has anyone been able to have an M.2 in the second slot and the drive cage???
