Elitedesk 800 G2 desktop mini
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I have the 35W version

After a family member was "playing" with the box, the original sata cable was teared... so instead of buying aanother cable for outrageous price I bought an m.2 Adata SX 6000 Pro 256GB

And the drive is not recognized in BIOS, not at all.

Updated BIOS to latest available (2.39 iirc) -no change.

Legacy enabled, disabled, etc - no m.2 drive visible. The manual says that 256GB NVMe drives are supported, the m.2 slot is keyed as is the drive...

In another similar PC it works flawlessly (Thinkpad m720q)

Any ideas or magic BIOS setting that could make the drive work?

Thanks

Also was able to test/swap it with Samsung PM981 from another Lenovo desktop - Samsung drive works flawlessly in 800G2

Adata one works same way in Lenovo ...

So it has to be something like white list in HP bios?!
