The HP Support website only lists 3 Ryzen CPU's that are compatible with the Erica 8 motherboard (B550A chipset). However, there is another thread that suggests there are a few more. Additionally, when I spoke with 2 different HP support representatives, they give differing answers about the CPU's that are compatible. Generally, the B550A chipset is compatible with the Ryzen 5 3000 series CPU's, but the Erica 8 motherboard may not be compatible with certain ones for some reason. Specifically, I would like to know whether the Ryzen 5 3600 is compatible with the Erica8 motherboard that is in my Victus 15L.

When you do not identify your desktop or laptop PC, you tie our hands behind our backs. Help us to help you.
When logged into Windows, hold down the Windows key and tap the R key once.
That will open the Windows run dialogue
Type in msinfo32 and press enter.
The ninth line is the SKU and the HP product number. Kindly post it in your next reply in your thread.
The System SKU/Product ID will enable us to determine the hardware configuration of your notebook/desktop PC.
If you can't log into Windows, look on the bottom of your notebook for that information.
If you have a desktop look at the rear of your PC
Erica8 Motherboard specifications (click on processor support)

Check the compatible BIOS upgrade release information to see if any processors have been added to the motherboard compatibility list.
I would have done that, but you did not take the time to identify your desktop PC.

My apologies. It is a Victus 15L Gaming Desktop PC. I believe the SKU is 575N4AA#ABA, and Model No. TG02-0013W. Thanks for reaching out, and thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
