A recent start up diagnostic presented a message that my HDD is failing after 48 hours of slow and intermittent performance.
I am considering replacing 1TB HDD with a 512 GB SSD. Computer is used primarily for home office use (email, spreadsheets, word processing, power point presentations, and viewing videos). Windows 10 Pro and Office 365 are installed.
Is this computer capable of accepting an SSD drive? Are there restrictions on type or size?

Hello
if possible back up your data to an external drive or other media
You can install ONE SATA type SSD, there is no maximum size mentioned, but prefer an SSD of the same size if possible, otherwise, a 500gb may be sufficient
Once your data is backed up, format the hard drive completely, and check if you can use it as a second drive
can help , with scan
