Hi,

I'm thinking one of my RAM sticks somehow became faulty but was wondering if there's another possibility? With both of my (2x16gb RAM) sticks in the computer fails to boot and gives a memory error (3 long lights, two short). It boots with one of them but not with the other. It also boots with my older (2x 4gb) ram in there as well. My workaround is to use the functioning 16gb ram and a 4gb stick, but i'm assuming it's not advised to mix ram... would really like my 32 gb back if the other stick isn't completely broken.

No one can answer without knowing the exact model # of this HP 15.

Example, the HP 15-ba009dx can only handle two 8GB modules.

Beep code 3.2 is memory issue, as shown here.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..
