The front of the case keeps falling off. How do I correct this without damaging it? Poor build quality

@memorandum -- without damaging it

The plastic face plate probably is already damaged.

Those "fingers" that stick out should have a "hook" on the end:

                         //

that fits through a hole in the metal case, and "hooks" into place.

It is NOT likely that the metal case, and those holes, are damaged.

Are those "fingers" bent or broken-off?  Are those "hooks" undamaged?

When you press the face-plate into the metal case, you should hear a few "clicks" as each hook engages.

You might try:  http://PartSurfer.HP.com  to see if you can purchase a replacement face-plate.

They (pins) appear to have broken off. The front is connected to the rest of the case by a wire as there is a colour-changing light in the front face. I've only had this computer about 2 years and it keeps breaking in various ways, poor build quality 😕. Not like it was cheap either.
