GPU Upgrade

Hi,

I have an HP 550-100nv more specifically this, https://support.hp.com/my-en/product/hp-pavilion-550-100-desktop-pc-series/8499648/model/8902962/doc...

 

I would like to upgrade my graphic card, as a result my PSU as well but due to the size of the pc im afraid the componets i choose wont fit so i was wandering if anyone here could verify it the two componets bellow will be fine or not

Open up your PC and do some measuring inside to determine if the selected hardware components will fit. Review this post.

Hello! Yes, that GPU will fit based on the photos I can see of the inside, assuming it is about the size of 2 3.5" HDD. However, I suggest you go inside the case and measure, but I know for sure the power supply will fit. Good luck upgrading!

Hello again,

 

I have measured the inside and the GTX 1060 mini will fit.

 

But i also asked a friend that studies Computer Engineering and told me that probably it wont fit beacuse of the slots in the motherboard is too old.

Now ihave checked and found that the motherboard has an expansion slot of PCIex16 which is what the graphic card needs but im a bit confused if im looking at the correct one since its under "Expsion Slots" and not under the "Video" section at https://support.hp.com/my-en/product/hp-pavilion-550-100-desktop-pc-series/8499648/model/8902962/doc...
