HP Omen 870-101no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought the HP Omen 870-101no in april 2017 and it has worked fantastic the whole time. Now I want to upgrade a few things. I am thinking to buy a new PSU and another SSD. There is an 128GB SSD in the computer at the moment and I want to get another one because the 128GB SSD is full.

I have looked at the Crucial BX500 240GB SSD, I don't need any expensive SSD:s, I just want a cheap but still good SSD. The Crucial BX500 is a SATA 6GB/s with the form factor 2.5".

Now I wanted to know if there is any free spaces for an SATA SSD? I have looked at specifications but I don't see any details of what I can upgrade.

Would really appreciate some help!

You will find all necessary details in this rather recent thread:

Among quite a few very similar ones.

I have looked through the thread and I don't really see any answers to my question. I don't want to replace my current SSD, I want to add one more SATA SSD but I don't know if there is any empty places.

When I look at pictures of the computers and when I am looking inside of the computer I am pretty sure there is three slots for SATA drives, atm I have one SSD and one HDD so I should be able to put another SSD in?

HP Recommended

Yes, there is 3rd SATA connector there but I gather it's occupied by DVD drive already?

In either case, details you're after are here:

You will need additional SATA cable and SSD tray that will allow you mounting it into the HDD 3.5 slots in the chassis. Taking into account that the latter might not be easily obtainable question arises whether it's not better to actually replace the main SSD?

Do you actually need to have three separate disk drives?

Okay, thank you for the link.

The Windows 10 is installed on the main SSD so I would rather have it along with another one. I understand it can seem maybe unnecessary to have three seperate disks.
