I still have the 3gb 1060 that came in the system and I want to upgrade to a 1660 super card. The new card uses an 8 pin power plug and the 1060 is a 6 pin. Is it a simple upgrade or is there no power plug for an 8 pin connector?

@mumphry999 , welcome to the Community.
The recommended wattage for the GTX 1660 Super is 450W: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/gtx-1660-super/?ncid=afm-chs-44270&ranMID=44270&...
Click on the tab titled "SPECS" for this information. Since your PSU is 500W with 1x6-pin PCIe power connector, you should be able to use this adapter to make it work: https://www.newegg.com/black-yellow-startech-6-cable/p/N82E16812200420?Description=6%20pin%20to%208%...
If you have questions about the adapter you can contact StarTech's Tech Support for help. I use their Chat Live option. They have always been very helpful.
Please click the Thumbs up + button if I have helped you and click Accept as Solution if your problem is solved.
