I bought recently this fantastic PC desktop for studying and work with autocad 2D/3D. I would upgrade the GPU but I don't know if this is possible. Can you help me? The PC is hp prodesk 400 G6 microtower, intel core i7, gpu intel graphics uhd 630

I have a problem , my power supply has 180 Watt of maximum power, is this a problem if I install the amd rx550x?

Yes, that might be an issue.  180W may not enough power.

If you look at page 2 of the quickspecs at the link below, your PC could have come with a 180W, 250W, or a 310W power supply.

What is interesting is on page 3, they offer the Radeon graphics card without any mention of the power supply requirements, which would lead me and other folks to believe that it will work in any 400 G6 with any power supply.

Maybe the specific model graphics card from the link I gave you will work with a 180 W power supply, but 180W seems awful weak to me.

I looked up the power draw of the card and it has a max power draw of 50 Watts, so I would say it is borderline.

The GT 1030 draws 30 watts.

I have a Dell Optiplex 7050 MT with a Radeon R7 450 GPU that has a max power draw of 65 Watts and the PC has a 240W power supply.

The PC came configured that way from Dell.   Works fine.

The power supply might be proprietary, so you would have to get one of the specific power supplies for your PC.

Unfortunately, I would not be able to help you with that, and I suggest you contact HP support in Italy and see if they can point you in the right direction.

The service manual lists the different power supplies, but no part numbers.
