Hp 8200
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought a reconditioned hp 8200 with i7 and 16gb ram,2tb HDD, SSD 240 GB....I received from a friend a graphic card Nvidia quarto 2200 4gb...can I install that card in my desktop...going to use the pc for video editing  non professional..thanks

This video should be of some help. And when you take out the old card, assuming there is one, be sure to gently pull the release tab that locks the card in place. You can see it clearly in the video. Also after installing the card make sure you connect the monitor to the video card port and not the video port for the integrated video. And FYI...I am 72 so there are a number of us "experienced" users around.

That depends. Is it the HP 8200 Workstation or the HP Elite 8200 or the HP Compaq 8200 ?  And if the latter, is it the mini tower or the small form factor? The reason being that the SFF only accepts low profile GPUs.

Thanks and the picture will not be visible until approved by a moderator. Assuming then it is this model your video card should be fine. That card draws 75W and your system has a 320W PSU. Plus you have 2 PCIe x16 slots.

Thanks so much..it's my first time here..I am from Holland and 75 year old...I appreciate your help very much.. any advice when installing the card..I presume I have to take out the old card
