hp 2310m
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Bought a new DELL Inspiron 17 laptop. Turned it on 1st time on Friday. Connects to HP 2310M monitor and displays correctly UNLESS I select full screen on any app. The title bar is then not shown, the bottom status bar is not shown, the right-hand slide-bar is not show and the left-hand column is not shown. In other words, it seems like it thinks the screen is 25" instead of 23". Any suggestions?

@edsorbit , welcome to the forum.

You should check the resolution (1920 x 1080 (same as max and native) and the refresh rate (60 Hz).  If either is not set correctly you will get the outcome that you are experiencing.  If both are correct, it most likely is the fact that you don't have the correct driver installed.  Since the monitor is 9 years old, HP no longer provides software and driver updates for it.  Here is the only driver that I could find for it.  You should try the Win 8 64-bit driver to see if it works.

Please click the Thumbs up + button if I have helped you and click Accept as Solution if your problem is solved.
