24-g122 all in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

How can I remove the back cover of an HP 24-g122 all in one desktop to add more ram?  The only accessible screw is on the bottom where the stand mounts. Took it out and still nothing budges.

Hi,

Here is small guide on how to remove back cover:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05145971

You might need to use a little force while prying and can help with a plastic guitar pick or similar object.

Hope it helps,

David

I'm having trouble despite following the manual. My topic is here:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/HP-24-all-in-one-back-cover-rem...

when i try to lift the bottom cover, the plastic cover strip covering the speaks seems to want to come off. should I remove the screws and the plastic strip first?

When removing the back cover, it looks like i'm pressing on the monitor screen itself.
