@NickGinex, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP 430!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand that your HP 430 Wireless Mouse isn’t shutting down your HP All-in-One Desktop PC 24-cb0000i, and you need some assistance to get it working properly. No worries—I’m happy to help!
Let’s try a few troubleshooting steps:
Check Power Settings
- Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options.
- Click on "Choose what the power buttons do."
- Make sure the "Shut Down" option is selected for the power button action.
Update Mouse Drivers
- Open Device Manager (Press Win + X, then select it).
- Expand "Mice and other pointing devices."
- Right-click "HP 430 Wireless Mouse" and choose "Update driver."
- Select "Search automatically for updated driver software."
Re-pair the Mouse
- Remove the USB dongle and plug it back in.
- If it's Bluetooth, go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices, remove the device, and pair it again.
Check for Windows Updates
- Go to Settings > Windows Update and check if any updates are available.
If the issue persists, could you let me know a bit more? For example, is the mouse working fine otherwise, or is it just the shutdown function that’s not responding? That way, I can provide more specific guidance.
Looking forward to your response! 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!
