Hi,
I recently bought the HP 975 Keyboard and HP 935 Creator Mouse and successfully connected both to the keyboard’s dongle (marked with a small mouse and keyboard icon).
Although both peripherals work with one dongle, the mouse moves erratically and "jumps", especially during small movements. This causes the cursor to miss specific points on the screen, which is very frustrating. When each device uses its own dongle, the mouse works normally.
I purchased these devices to pair them on one dongle for easy switching between my desktop and laptop with one button. I’m very disappointed with this issue and am seriously considering replacing both devices.
My computer drivers are up to date, both devices have the latest firmware, are fully charged, and are properly maintained.
Please advise on a solution.
Regards,
Direz

@Direz, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Try These Fixes:
Use a USB 2.0 port (not USB 3.0) and place the dongle closer to the mouse using a USB extender if possible—this avoids 2.4GHz interference.
In HP Accessory Center, try:
Lowering the mouse polling rate or DPI
Re-pairing: connect the mouse first, then the keyboard.
Test without the keyboard paired to the dongle—if the mouse behaves normally, the keyboard may be interfering.

I hope this helps.

@Garp_Senchau,
Thank you for your response.
I've tried every step you mentioned, but without success. I suspect the mouse may be defective, as the pointer moves erratically even when the keyboard is disconnected from the computer. I've also tested the mouse on other computers, with the same results.
The mouse works fine most of the time, but occasionally—and randomly—the pointer jumps several inches in another direction or stutters while moving. Since it's a brand-new device, I'll take it back to the store and ask for a replacement.
Thank you again for your help. I'm sure your suggestions would have worked if the mouse weren't faulty.
Best regards,
Direz

Hey @Direz,
Thank you for your response
Thank you for the detailed update, and I’m sorry to hear that the issue persists. It definitely sounds like the mouse may have a defect if it’s behaving erratically across multiple devices.
I completely understand your decision to request a replacement, and I hope that resolves the issue for you.
Take care and have a good day.
