HP AIO ENVY 23-d015la Touch
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The AIO ENVY 23 has an Intel integrated video chipset so it is not good for high performance graphic software; in the specifications sheet sais that there is a MXM 3.0 PORT for video cards and I want to know if this model will fit the configuration:

HP 734276-001 NVIDIA VIDEO CARD QUADRO K1100M 2GB N15P-Q1-A2 MXM 3.0 A

thanks for the help

Hi @Casa_RR,

Thanks for reaching out to the HP community. A very good day to you. Smiley Happy I understand that you require assistance regarding graphic card upgrades for the computer. It will be a delight to help you. Smiley Happy

Splendid diagnosis and commendable description of the issue. Kudos to you for that. Smiley Happy You are an important HP customer and it is an absolute privilege to share this platform with you. Smiley Happy

For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this.

  • Did you check the specification of the AIO motherboard?
  • Did you contact a Local technician by any chance

Going by the product specifications of the motherboard for this computer model from this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ENVY-23-All-in-One-Desktop-PC-series/7102847/model/5298251/do...  It states that the card may not be supported.

Please look up the section under Expansion slots

  • Two PCI Express mini card sockets (Generation 2 speed)
  • One PCI Express MXM slot that supports a PCI Express x16 graphics card (Generation 2 speed)
  • The graphics card specs state that it is MXM 3.0A. which is MXM 3.0.

Please note that HP does not recommend upgrading either the operating system or the computer’s hardware as the components that were initially installed with the unit are certified by HP for optimal performance. However, as you are very technically inclined, I would still request you to consult a local technician like Best Buy or Staples before proceeding to upgrade the unit.

So please contact a local Best Buy or staples technician and perform the upgrade so that there are no compatibility issues with the graphics card for your computer and everything works smoothly.

Hope this helps.  Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Smiley Happy  Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you. Smiley Happy

To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.

Take care now and have a splendid week ahead. Smiley Happy
