@worldi2002, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP All-in-One Desktop 24-cb1xxx is running slowly on Windows 11, there are several common causes and effective steps you can take to speed it up:

Check Resource Usage

  • Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc and check the usage of:
    • CPU, Memory (RAM), and Disk.
  • Look for any processes that are consuming high resources. If you notice something unusual using a lot of resources, that could be the reason for the slowdown.

Disable Startup Programs

  • Too many startup applications can slow down boot times:
    • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc and navigate to the Startup tab.
    • Disable unnecessary items (e.g., Spotify, OneDrive, Adobe updater).

Uninstall Bloatware

  • Remove any unused applications:
    • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
    • Uninstall HP tools you don’t use, games, or preinstalled trial software.

Free Up Storage

  • Go to Settings > System > Storage.
  • Enable Storage Sense to automatically clean temporary files.
  • Delete large unnecessary files or move them to external storage.

Check for Windows and Driver Updates

  • Navigate to Settings > Windows Update and install all available updates.
  • Visit the HP Support website, enter your model, and install the latest chipset, BIOS, and graphics drivers.

Run HP Support Assistant

  • Open HP Support Assistant.
  • Use it to perform diagnostics and update all drivers and firmware.

Scan for Malware

  • Sometimes, slowness can be caused by unwanted software:
    • Run a full scan using Windows Security or a tool like Malwarebytes.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
