Hi there
a couple of days ago i searched for some parts in our Storage and came across the HP Compaq Elite 8300 i5 (3470) Desktop and thought to do an upgrade.
I found a single 16GB Mushkin 1600-11 ECC 2Rx4 RAM Module, and im able to get another one for about 80EUR.
(i have to add that this Desktop has also a PNY Quadro K620 2GB (VCQK620-PB) Graphics Card and a 500GB Samsung SSD. So a little beast on 2 x 24" Screens)
Do you think the Elite 8300 will run with that RAM ?
Im asking because the TechSheet states that it can handle 16GB (x2) but im not quite sure about the NON-ECC and ECC.
Thank you
Jan
