I have the same problem. It suddenly started beeping and stopped doing anything else.

 

I have removed all memory cards and tried again. It still beeps. Is this normal when no memory is installed, or does this indicate that the motherboard is toast?

Hi, if you have the manual for this model DC7900 it lists the steps to deal with this 5 beeps codes, you can reseat all Dimms, then Replace DIMMS one at atime to isolate the afulty one, how many DIMMS in your PC? and how this problem happened, may be the contact points and slots of the DIMMS are not clean as during booting once PC detects faulty point it will not start and beeps 5 times.hope this will help let me know if you need more help?
