HP Elite 7000 Microtower PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

According to Windows Info, the mother board on my PC is an MSI 2A90h but I am unable to find the data I require on this motherboard from MSI or HP, in particular the 'pin out' of the front panel connector JFP1 on the MOBO.

I am intending to replace the motherboard etc with an MSI B450 Mortar MOBO but I need to know if the front panel cable is compatible with the Mortar JFP1 'as is'.

Having done some research, the JFP1 is normally black in colour and the 'reserved pin' is #9 with the 'Pin #10' socket empty.

However, on this MOBO, There is  no pin #9 but there is a pin #10. Additionally, the connector is white, and not black.

In other words, the opposite of what seems to be the 'standard'.

The reason I'm stripping the HP MOBO is that the i5 750 CPU, along with the 8 Gb Ram, is not sufficient for my needs any longer, in some cases program load times, in others, e.g. photo editing, with the larger sensor sizes on newer cameras, the load time is lengthy and changes in editing parameters (i.e. photo adjustments) can take a very long time to process.

The reason I'm keeping the old HP case is that there's nothing physically wrong with it and it has 2 by 5 1/2 inch external bays, which I need for example an optical drive. New cases all seem to be for 'gaming' and rarely have 5  1/2 inch external bays.

Thanks to anyone who can provide assistance.
