My desktop has an empty slot for expanding the 16GB RAM to 32GB.
It also has another empty slot towards the bottom of the motherboard. It says X16PCIEXP near the empty slot.
can anyone tell me what that slot is for? Thank you.

Hi:
If it is a rather long slot, the X16PCIEXP slot is to add a video card in.
You may have seen it described as a PCIe x16 slot elsewhere.
According to the motherboard specs, it also has a PCIe x1 slot.

That slot supports devices such as audio cards, or PCIe x1 wifi adapters.
