HP M01-F3005ns

Hi, 

I bougth a HP M01-F3005ns with Erica 8 motherboard. 

Do you know if this motherboard is compatible with a AMD Ryzen 5 3400G 3.7GHz  chipset?

I doubt it would be possible because the even though the processors have the same wattage and socket, the unknown factor is if the motherboard's BIOS has the microcode info to support the older processor.

 

There would be no reason for HP to include the microcode for the AMD Picasso processors when only the AMD Cezanne processors are offered for that motherboard.

According to the motherboard specs only three processors are supported:

AMD Ryzen 7 5700G (Cezanne) 3.8 GHz base clock, up to 4.6 GHz maximum boost clock, 16 MB L3 cache, 8 cores
