Hi,

The Cooler Master Hyper 212 is an outstanding cooling fan and heat sink.  However, the height of the 212 might be too tall for the HP cabinet. I found this to be the case with a different HP cabinet. The second issue is the BIOS CPU fan curve which might be an issue. While there is some fan speed adjustment in the BIOS, it's quite limited and rudimentary.  You might get some speed control using a third party application.

The EVGA PSU is 5.5 by 3.4 by 6.5 which is longer than a standard HP PSU that is 5.9. I used a longer PSU in a HP cabinet and end PSU stablization latch couldn't be used. However, the fit wasn't a problem for me.  Just be aware of the stablization latch issue.  Additionally, you will probably need a power adapter cable for the optical drive. Perhaps like this adapter cable.

HP does have 500 watt PSUs but I don't know if there is a "gold" rated PSU. Try HP Part Surfer.
