HP OMEN GT12-0475nd – RAM not running at full 3200 MHz speed

Hi,
I have an HP OMEN GT12-0475nd desktop with the Ryzen 7 3700X and Moria3 motherboard. According to HP’s specifications, this system supports up to 32 GB DDR4-3200 RAM. However, I’m having trouble getting any RAM to run at the full 3200 MHz speed.

Here’s what I’ve tested so far:

• Kingston Fury Beast DDR4 3200 CL16 (2x16GB) → Only runs at 2400 MHz

• Samsung 16GB DDR4 3200 UDIMM (M378A2G43AB3-CWE) → Runs at 2666 MHz

• BIOS does not seem to allow XMP profile settings. (Bios revision F.13)

I want to upgrade to 32 GB total and run at the full 3200 MHz speed (non-XMP if needed).
Which specific 2x16GB RAM kits can you recommend that will run at 3200 MHz out of the box on this model and are available in Belgium?

For your HP OMEN GT12-0475nd with Ryzen 7 3700X and Moria3 motherboard, running RAM at the full 3200 MHz speed can be challenging due to BIOS limitations and RAM compatibility requirements.

Your system defaults to JEDEC standard speeds, not XMP.

Without XMP, most DDR4-3200 kits will default to 2400 MHz or 2666 MHz, unless the memory has a JEDEC 3200 MHz profile (very rare).

JEDEC vs XMP: JEDEC is the standard baseline memory speed spec, while XMP (Intel's eXtreme Memory Profile) lets RAM run faster. 

To get 3200 MHz without XMP, you need a JEDEC DDR4-3200 kit – which is very rare in consumer retail but exists mostly in server-grade or OEM-spec RAM.

RAM Kits Likely to Work at 3200 MHz (Non-XMP JEDEC 3200):

1. Crucial 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR4-3200 UDIMM CL22

• Part Number: CT2K16G4DFRA32A
• JEDEC 3200 MHz at 1.2V (no XMP needed)
• Verified to run at 3200 MHz on locked OEM systems like yours. 

2. Kingston ValueRAM DDR4-3200 CL22 1.2V (Non-XMP)

• Part Number: KVR32N22D8/16 (for single 16GB)
• 2x16GB = 32GB, will run at 3200 MHz if system supports JEDEC 3200

You can check local retailers or online stores in Belgium for availability.
