Pavilion 590-p006
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've tried to install a Visiontek 5570 1GB PCIE Video Card with 4 hdmi's out into a new Pavilion 590-p0066 desktop with 12 meg of Ram and a 310 Watt power supply.

For this  video card it is recommended to have at least a 250 watt power supply.
When I put the Visontek card in the single PCI Express slot the onboard video becomes disabled and I get no video out on the Visiontek  card ..... no startup screen or anything. The card fan is moving, but there is no video out on any of the 4 hdmi outputs.

The card works fine on another computer. Can anyone help resolve the problem?
I don't see much in the HP Bios to change that could help.

Any suggestions?

Thank yiou

Alan

@pspot,

It is a very simple answer.

The HP590-p0066 is a circa May 2018 unit with UEFIvBIOS, and Secure Boot.  The HD 5570 is a Oct 2011 card, with Legacy BIOS (not UEFIvBIOS).  All you need do is follow the guidelines listed here.  Look at the FAQ list, it's item 3.  You want to disable Secure Boot,, and enable Legacy.
