Pavilion Gaming - TG01-1008na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

Does  Pavilion Gaming - TG01-1008na  provide Pci-e 3 x 4 lanes or just 2 lanes? Please don't tell me that a brand new PC which is sold as gaming PC provides just 2 PCi-E lanes in 2021...

Also, I understand that the chipset is limiting the RAM to 2666 Mhz, is there any chance to get a BIOS update, so the BIOS could read the XMP profile and lower the timings as per XMP for 2666 Mhz, as I installed a 3600 Mhz RAM, which is currently running at 2666 Mhz and default timings.

Thank you.

Paul

It does not say much but it uses PCIe Gen 3x4 for storage.

Thank you.

I've just went through the lot, but didn't find anywhere that it would mention PCI-E3x4 lines... Cause my samsung SSD is running at X2, so I wondered if there are any settings I need to change to get it to the full speed?

What I did find, thanks to you that max supported RAM is (DDR4-2933) and I have installed DDR4 3600 Mhz, so how come mine is running at 2666 Mhz? Is there any chance to get a half-decent bios where I could set the memory speed, let alone the timings? I know that HP. Dell, Lenovo got stuck with their Bios'es somewhere in 2005-2010, but I think it's about time to move on, especially if you sell something as a gaming PC...
