I've had this laptop for around 4 years now. It has formed a crack next to the power button near the left hinge near the speaker. When I move the screen it begins to life the area around it therefore I cannot move or close the lid.
Looking at the bottom it looks like the back two screws have somehow fallen out but because of the crack I am not sure if it is too late to replace the screws (or will this work?)
This Laptop is no longer under warranty. Does anyone know of a manufacturers recall because of the missing screws or are there any thoughts on how to fix this problem. I've seen other HP Pavilion owners have had the same problems.

@sarahloulou -- any thoughts on how to fix this problem
If the screws are "missing", they must have become loose (maybe the socket into which they screw has cracked open), and then fallen out.
Your only remedy is to search on eBay (or similar sites) for an identical computer, described with the words "as is" or "for parts", and contact the seller, to see if that computer's case is in perfect condition -- not "cracked". Buy it, and get a computer technician to "transplant" all your components into the "empty" newly-purchased case.
