Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been to a job where my employer has 2 HP ProDesk 400 G3 SFF - I know they are very old but they work well for what the business needs are, just surfing the net and send/receive and receive quotes all over the world through a trade exchange - and since working there I tried to connect bluetooth devices to the PCs but to no avail.

Reason is that even though the "Settings" for "Bluetooth->Add device " control option is available then I get the attached pop-up message and searching in Device Manager I cannot find any "Bluetooth" devices nor within even the "Network" sections having been installed even after installing the download drivers (believe that it is supposed to be a Realtek one)...

Does this model not have the Bluetooth adapter module installed and one needs to buy that as an optional extra or that there is one natively installed but the unit is bung?

Any pointers or comments to the issue will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Hi:

90% of HP business class desktop PC's do not come with built in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth combination adapters.

The easiest thing to do if you just need Bluetooth would be to purchase a USB Bluetooth adapter.

Otherwise, you can install a PCie x1 desktop low profile Wi-Fi/Bluetooth kit that includes external antennas.

You attach the USB Bluetooth cable to the SD card reader header on the motherboard to power the Bluetooth.
