Hi there! I have a microphone that works when I plug it in the front microphone port of the computer, but I don't want to have it in front all the time, so I tried plugging it in the back of the computer in the Blue Line-In port, however, the computer detects it plugged in but does not pick up any sound from the microphone. Please help me. Thank you!

The line in audio port is typically for line level inputs - meaning the audio level is higher than what the microphone will output.
The microphone input on the front panel is designed for the audio levels from a microphone. If you wish to use the line-in on the rear panel, then it will require a preamp which will boost the microphone levels to line level.
Typically a preamp is used with turntables or tape decks to give line level audio, so make sure the one you try is intended for microphone inputs.
