Hi,
I replaced the original HDD of my HP Slimline Desktop 260-a134nl with a 250 GB Samsung 860 evo SSD but the computer doesn't boot.
The HP logo appears but does not start.
I tried to enter the BIOS but it does not even let me enter the BIOS.
The computer works perfectly without the Samsung 860 evo SSD.
I tried to replace the Samsung 860 evo with a 250 GB Crucial MX500 but it does not start anyway.
Finally a friend lent me an old 120 GB Kingston HyperX 3K SSD.
With the Kingston it starts and let me enter the BIOS!
The problem is that I can't keep using this SSD because it's not mine and it's too small for me.
I need at least a 250 GB SSD.
I think it's a compatibility problem with certain SSD models caused by the BIOS.
Does anyone know how to solve it?
Is it possible to update the BIOS?
