HP Z4 G5 Workstation Desktop PC RCTO Base Model
Microsoft Windows 11

After the new Bios Ver.2.017 has been installed the following Problem was observed.
1. The WS Z4G5 is switched off from power
2. Now open the side cover and close it again
3. Switch power on to the WS Z4G5 (the front power switch is not pressed)
After a few second later the front power switch of the WS shows red light and beeps 3 times afterwards the it shows white lights and Beeps 7 times.
This repeats 4 times.

Hereafter the WS can be switched on via the front power switch.
This did not happen with the previous Bios Version 2.014
This behavior is not expected.
Is this a problem of the new Bios Version 2.017 ?
Any ideas where this problem Comes from?

@blisterx1,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Do you mind showing me the drivers/BIOs link that you used for the BIOS Ver.2.017 version?

When I looked at HP's "HP Z4 G5 Workstation Desktop PC" drivers and BIOS link, I see this:

Hello,

the link where I downloaded and installed the software is:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-z4-g5-workstation-desktop-pc/2101336703

But in my message I did not describe the correct Bios-Version.

Instead of Bios Ver.2.017 it must  be 01.02.17 Rev.A , the same is for  Bios Version 2.014
it must be 01.02.14 Rev.A.

Sorry for the typing error.

For the described problem I used the link mentioned above.

best regards
