HP desktop 4300 pro i3, I want to upgrade to i7. Do I only need to replace the cpu? ? or is there other things that need to be done? I haven't found any other information.

Hi:

Below is the link to the quickspecs for your model.

There is a certain spec i7 processor you can install.   See page 4.

There is only one heatsink for that model, so it should work with the i7 processor and there should be no other settings, etc to change.
