Resolve Windows 10 related issues for your HP computers or printers by HP Windows 10 Support Center
My desktop suddenly dead today. It crashed randomly this morning for three, or four times, and then totally dead.
It looks like PSU is broken, but I am not sure of it.
Does anyone have similar issues?
By the way where can I find a PSU, like L64961-800 for this desktop?
@neustone , welcome to the Community.
The symptoms certainly do sound like you have a failed power supply unit (PSU). The motherboard is HP proprietary. It has a 4-pin power connector. You will have to buy a new PSU directly from HP. Unfortunately, HP doesn't show the PSU's available in Canada. Here is a Power Supply Cross-Reference Chart to see where I got this information: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Knowledge-Base/Power-Supply-Cross-Reference-for-specific-model...
Your specific model is not on the Chart, but all of the 690 series have the same connector. You can find them on HP PartSurfer: https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=L64961-800
I suggest that you contact HP Customer Support to see if they can help you buy one of their PSU's.
