Good afternoon all,
i have just tried to install a CPU upgrade into my machine and hit a problem
Machine - HP Elitedesk 800 G6 mini (35w)
CPU - i5-10500T (35w TDU) ---> i5 10600 (65w TDU)
I was in the understanding that if i upgraded the power supply (which I did from 65w to 90w), that this would work.
Unfortunately I am getting the CPU beep code (3 long RED, 5 short WHITE).
Has anyone experienced this? is the CPU locked out in the BIOS?
Are there hardware differences from the 65w model (other than the power supply).
Thanks so much in advance, I appreciate it.

Updating the BIOS is recommended as standard maintenance of the computer. It can also help resolve the following issues:
- An available BIOS update resolves a specific issue or improves computer performance.
- The current BIOS does not support a hardware component or a Windows upgrade.
- HP Support recommends installing a specific BIOS update.
"
best regards
