HP3200X Pocket Media Drive
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have purchased a refurbished Dell to replace a well used HP tower which had a Pocket Media Drive installed.  I would like to recover some files from the HP3200x.  Whend I plug the drive into a USB port, I get a message saying "USB device not recognized" that repeats.  When I click on the message, this message pops up "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it.    Recommendation-Try reconnecting the device.  If Windows still does not recognize it, your device may not be working properly."

The device most certainly was working the last time I used it, before the old computer (OS Windows Vista) bit the dust.  Reconnecting does not work.

Will this device work with Windows 10?  Should it be mounted internally?  Do I need a special cable for it?

Very confused
