HP ENVY Desktop - TE01-0034

Windows 11 reports my drive is degraded and may fail with a limited useful life, available spare 100%, temperature 43C. I haven't experienced any issues yet.  Can I get around not having to install all the software again with an image backup or clone to a new HD? I'm not sure which drive to buy, it seems to have an SSD drive with 476 GB capacity. I'm not sure it's a 2.5" or 3.5". Would I buy a clone docking station? I have a small accounting practice. All data is backed up and secure. Thank You.

The product specs for your PC indicate that it comes with a 512 GB M.2 NVMe SSD.

HP ENVY Desktop - TE01-0034 Product Specifications | HP® Support

This is a larger capacity 1 TB drive I recommend for your PC:

Amazon.com: SAMSUNG 980 SSD 1TB PCle 3.0x4, NVMe M.2 2280, Internal Solid State Drive, Storage for P...

If the drive still works and you want to clone your current hard drive's contents to the new one, you can purchase a USB 3/USB-C to NVMe enclosure and clone the current drives contents with the Samsung Magician software.

Amazon.com: SSK Aluminum M.2 NVME SATA SSD Enclosure Adapter, USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) to NVME PCI-E ...

Hi Paul, The timeframe for getting the drive is one month. I'm nervous that mine will fail before then. Do you have any alternatives? Thank You.

Yes, you can get this one, but you will have to find different cloning software to use:

https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-PCIe-NAND-NVMe-3500MB/dp/B0B25LZGGW/ref=sr_1_3?crid=Y44PG01098CL&dib=...

I think if you buy a Crucial drive, they offer the free Acronis cloning software you can use.

M2 SSD install - Download the cloning software | Crucial.com

How you use that software, I don't know, but no doubt there are YouTube videos that provide help and there is a user guide on the link I posted.
