Z220 SFF Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I’m upgrading the power supply for a Z220 SFF Workstation and one of the cables is plugged into the motherboard and is labeled as Power COMM but none of the cables that came with the power supply fit. What is the Power COMM and do I need to plug it in?

@JMo10 -- is this your computer: HP Pavilion 595-p0074 Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

It comes with a 180 Watt power-supply.  There are no alternate power-supplies listed.

There do exist cables that have a 4-pin connector at one end (to connect to the motherboard) and a SATA (disk-drive or CD/DVD) power connector at the other end. So, the disk-drive draws power directly from the motherboard -- not directly from your power-supply's cables.

Do you have power-cables from the power-supply to your disk-drive/CD/DVD device?
