Hello,

I would like to connect a 500GB hdd sata3 2,5 " to this pc.

The PC has already a 256GB drive (E) and it starts/works perfectly.

Question 1:

The connector A seems to connect to the hdd sata3 and is probably the power. It will work or should I connect anywhere else? (in that case, where and where to buy a connector).

Question 2:

For the data connector to the hdd 2,5" sata3, should I connect the hdd to C or D? (I have a sata3 red small data harness).

Thanks for answering: I would not like to mess anything up.

@floppy_molly,

Your a "sharp cookie"!

Although I would like to know the numbers on the "yellow tag", your correct. The power source for SATA hard drives is that 6 pin (Black) socket, page 2.   Either C and D is ok for the SATA Data.

Thanks.

Yes, the yellow tag had something written on it: like hdd voltage connection. So, I should have readen it before.

the hdd is now recognized by the system after boot.

Now, I try to install debian on it

(first I have to boot from an usb with debian live which failed so far.. but this is another story)

@floppy_molly,

So, can I consider this "solved" or not?
