Hi all

Just been bought a lovely shiny 1000 Pro for my drone video editing,

I am using Davinci 17 and I have no sound when playing back within davinci? I have checked and it is setup to use the pc audio, also I am noticing the edits are very jerky as if the cup is not fast enough! It's an Intel i7 8700, what would be the best upgrade for this device...sorry for 2 questions in one!

Pat.

I think you have the "Elite one" as the Pro 1000 is a scanner.

I think the problem with the jerky edits is the intel video graphics in the CPU and your system does not have an expansion slot for a graphics coprocessor where you can add an NVidia or AMD board.  There are add on external coprocessors "eGpu" also called gaming boxes.   I just googled DaVinci 17 and it appears to support CUDA which is built into the gtx and rtx NVidia cards.  AMD does not support CUDA nor does Intel.  A "gaming box" with an NVidia card may go for more than your Elite One and would not work unless you had a thunderbolt port to connect to the eGpu

I think on of the HP guru's here may know whether your system has a thunderbolt port and possibly can help you better.
