Hp Compaq 6000 Pro MT

HelloI recently upgraded to windows 10 pro 64 bit and 8gb of ram. I was looking at AMD Radeon HD 6450 low profile video card or the gigabyte GeForce GT 1030 low profile video card.

would any of these work with my Pc?

Hi:

The AMD HD 6450 would work.

The Nvidia GT 1030 may work.

I tested a GT1030 out in the HP 8000 Elite CMT which is about the same model as yours except it has the Intel Q45 chipset.

I was very surprised it worked.

The GT 1030 is pretty expensive (new well over $100) compared to the HD 6450, but it is a better card.

You can pick up a used but tested and working HD 6450 dirt cheap on eBay.

The Dell branded models would work fine. 

Make sure you get one with the standard mounting bracket, not the low profile one.

I have a fanless HD 6450 in my HP 6200 Pro.  

I like the fanless card because it is silent and has no fan to conk out on you.

Alright thank you, one last question which one would be better for gaming, games like gta 5, some games on steam.

You're very welcome. 

The GT 1030 would be a better card. 

Another option would be the AMD Radeon HD 6570.

It's a better card than the HD 6450, and would be a whole lot cheaper than a GT 1030.

You can find them on eBay too.

Yes,

I believe almost all of those come with fans since they are more powerful.
